Pumpkin Scones with Icing

Pumpkin Scones with Icing I found this recipe on Pinterest and I loved it. I was looking for a Starbucks copy and this was not quite it but it was fantastic. This is not as sweet as the Starbucks scone but I actually liked that. I added a pumpkin spice icing to the top to add some sweetness and I think it was just the right amount. Add them to your fall recipe list and tell us what you think.

  1. I’m confused about the measurements. What is “t”? A teaspoon is tsp and a tablespoon is “T” (capital)/ I am not sure what the lower case t equals.
    Thanks.

    1. Actually, teaspoon can be abbreviated several ways. Here on Real Housemoms you may see it listed in older recipes as “t” and new recipes we’ve switched to “tsp” to cut down on confusion. Tablespoon can be abbreviated as “T” or “tbsp.”

These methods have been verified through different searches. I hope this clears up your confusion.

Quite delicious! Not very sweet and frosting is a must! I used coconut chai almond milk instead of buttermilk and almonds instead of pecans.
